Aspirations

Pilot here with some sunday evening pondering. As interior design takes it's toll on our lives and dreams we often aspire to other career opportunities. We each have our back up dreams that may someday replace our worn out interior design goals. Glynn Coco has already started plans for Coco cupcakes, her very own cupcake bakery. Bianca often throws around ideas for her very fitting Fierce Fro-Yo establishment. I have recently come across my alternate career paths. First, being a footy-pajama model with Snooks (the proof is in the picture). However, tonight I have realized my potential in the disk jockey business. We would all benefit from the all said career paths in more ways than one. However our career paths are taking a severe turn in the inevitable direction of Peaches and Cream.
For now.... dare to dream big!

DTGTDD?

Our life always seems to come full circle... let me explain a little.

We go about our lives as normal, like we are not going completely insane, in hopes that we can avoid the inevitable. We attend class, occasionally make it to the gym, and eat way more than we should. Why is it that we always end up back in the same predicament? On the carpeted road to Peaches and Cream Insane Asylum. Are you DTGTPACIA (down to go to Peaches and Cream Insane Asylum)? We aren't either, but we have come to terms with the fact that it's going to happen whether we like it or not.

Uh oh!... Snooks is gettin' fiesty. I should remind her that we need to stick together on the carpeted road to PACIA.

Life is tough right now. I have hit a road block in my project and am sitting here wondering what to do next. That has happened many times to all of us...we even named it (the zoom-in, zoom-out predicament). *See below blog for explanation.

Glynn Coco is queen of cutting corners. Sometimes we just randomly feel like hugging each other and when she finds ways to cut corners, it's definately one of those times. We hug everything out... it's a wonderful feeling. Since we don't see many people in the outside world, knowing that the friends you spend all your time with actually love you...is a great feeling!

The outside world is calling, so for now, stay sane.

Packing for a small vacation...or Norton

So as I was in my apartment preparing myself to come to Norton I fell upon a realization. Packing for going to Norton is like packing for a small vacation. I leave with no less than a backpack and my purse (and when I say purse think more along the lines of "Mary Poppins Bag"). Some of the necessities for a trip to Norton include but are not limited to...

- Extra Clothing...Sweatshirt, socks, sweatpants, slippers etc. Sometimes a blanket is included
-Computer, cell phone, iPod
-Chargers for all above items-you will be there long enough for all of these items to die and recharge multiple times
-Movies to watch on your computer (usually a minimum of 5 dvds plus whatever we can find on netflix)
- Snacks and Drinks-I currently have a few bags of cheez-its, a diet coke, my big nalgene filled with water. This does not include what snacks are already stashed away in my locker, as well as the multiple breaks we'll be taking to get MORE snacks throughout the day
- And then of course our notebooks & textbooks necessary to complete our projects

On the occasion when we really go all out and are here for 38940274893 hours at a time, items such as pillows, blankets, sleeping bags, and air mattresses can be found scattered around the CAD lab as well.

Hopefully we'll be out of here before we need to go back to gather up sleeping supplies. Wish us luck with this crazy project!

Road to the Block

So, Pilot and I have been in here for hmm...two hours? Guess how much we've gotten done. Zip. Zero. Zilch. Oops?

We have redefined detailing for Webster's Dictionary.

Detailing (n.): Death.

I say that pretty much sums it up.

It's so hard when you don't know what you're doing. I've been sitting here Googling and looking at my text book hoping the information will jump into my brain. So far, it hasn't and I'm beginning to think that it never will.

I just keep getting more and more frustrated which makes me want to walk away and never come back. One problem, I kind of need to graduate so that's not really an option.

Maybe Pilot and I will magically understand what we're doing. But so far this Friday night has been worthless.

Sincerely,

Glynn CoCo

Zoom in, Zoom out...

Well... here we are again. Back to business in good ol' Norton Hall. We, as usual these days we are rather confused about out interior detailing project due next week. Our attempts to work productively are true, but road blocks are frequently landing us in the inevitable zoom-in, zoom-out rut. We have found ourselves scrolling around our CAD screens in an attempt to seem efficient when it is merely a sign of life here in the lab. Smalls is currently online searching for deals on orange jump suits for her inevitable trip to Peaches and Cream Insane Asylum. Glynn Coco is hungover from....napping? No alcohol involved, just her severe addiction to bonding with her bed. Bianca is preparing for her trip to Japan. She will be jet skiing across the Pacific Ocean at the request of Google Maps. I am simply sitting back and enjoying the show. I'm sure there will be more after hours antics to come so don't go away!!

We're Baaaack...

So it's about three weeks into school and we're already loaded with work. Typical right? The first week we legit didn't know what to do with ourselves because we had absolutely nothing to do. Now I'm sure most of us are begging to have that week back. I know I am. So far we're already three projects in...majority due at the beginning of October. Learning quite a bit so far and I'm pretty excited about it.

We've had about 1 Norton After Hours night so far...
This past weekend Snooki and myself (G.CoCo) were exiled to the other CAD lab because we were being a little too goofy. Eventually we settled down and got our work down. But, I definitely enjoyed a few serenades here and there.

Can't wait to write mooore :)

I miss Norton...?

I know right away that I am going to be denying ever said that I miss norton come the end of the month but right now I've been separated from my wolf pack for 3 whole months! I miss them and our crazy late night antics sosososososososo much! It absolutely boggles my mind that in 3 short weeks we will officially be seniors. OMG!!!!! The implications of the real world have slowly started to hit me. After working a real 9-5 job in the city this summer I've started to realize this is more or less what my life will be like next May, scare-y. Which leads me to believe that many of the wolfpack's other back up careers (cupcake shop, frozen yogurt shop, almost anything involving food really) are not such a bad idea after all. We can all run it and never have to leave each other (talk about having a hard time letting go). But since I still have a few months until I decide what I'm really doing with the rest of my life I'm super excited to get back to school and be reunited with my loves :)

Until then, I hope everyone enjoys the rest of their summer!

Hello, my name is snooki, and I am an Interior Design obsessed nerd...

As much as I complain about the amount of work
I constantly have, the lack of sleeping, eating, showering,
and free time that exists in my life, when it comes down to it I am an Interior Design nerd through and through. While searching for a sleeper sofa for a client at work today I allowed myself to get distracted by the fabulous website in which I was searching. Typically I am not the ultra modern type but I do have an attraction to bold, geometric designs. Ligne Roset has me designing my non-existent apartment in my head with every single piece of their furniture, accessories, lighting etc. What initially caught my eye and had me talking to myself at my desk about how beautiful it was, was the Calin 2 Fireside chair. One word, AMAZING! It's the type of piece that makes ultra modern not seem so scary. I want to go curl up in that chair because it just like wonderfully comfortable but it still has this beautiful, bold and elegant geometric draping work that is somewhat reminiscent of an evening gown. Then I found these wonderful transparent chandelier-esq with a modern twist wall sconces. This site just keeps getting better and better. I could go on all day about all the amazing things I found but I suggest you go take a look and find out for yourself how spectacular Ligne Roset is (I know we're all always looking for a good distraction so here it is, I give you permission)

hello from the big city!

Hello everyone!

I can't believe I've already been home for a month and half, actually I can believe it because it is boring as anything at home. Most of my friends have the right idea and have a house at school where they live all summer with their friends. Since I'm stuck at home missing my wolf pack like crazy I've gotten an internship in NYC to pass by the time. Its more of a 9-5 job than an internship but you catch my drift. I'm actually working for a commercial design firm which I never thought I would do in my life. I've always wanted to do residential design and had a slight hate for all things commercial design. The codes, the constant back and forth between 50 million different people working on the project, and the lack of "fun" products. So we'll see how this experience goes. I'm going in with an open mind and if all else fails I've got a step up on Contract for next semester. Hopefully with my newly busy schedule I'll find some time to slip off to the beach and soak up some rays, I don't want to come back to school looking pale do I? Well I hope everyone else is having a fabulous summer so far and is getting as much R&R as possible before the inevitable return to Norton (ick).

P.S. I hope you guys like the new layout! If you ever want to comment on something or want us to talk about something specific e-mail us at nortonhallwolfpack@gmail.com!

Boredom Strikes

I just looked at projects from first semester sophomore year. All I can say is, whoaaaaaaaaa nelly! My, have things changed. I think I finally just realized how much I've learned. Kind of sad it hasn't hit me until now. But, I guess it had to at some point! I think we've all come a very long way since then, and we have a long way to go. You never stop learning, I just learned a great deal from the somewhat ridiculous mistakes I made on my first drafting project. Can't help but laugh though.

I can't believe that the wolfpack is going to be the oldest in Norton, (SENIORS!) besides the faculty of course. It just boggles my mind how it went by so fast. I've got lots to learn and can tell you right now that I am no where close to being ready for a big girl job in the real world. If only I could lay low for about...5 more years? Then I'll be ready. Maybe?

Hope summer is going well for every one! Mine is somewhat boring. I'm having major wolfpack withdrawal and don't know if I'll be able to last the whole summer.

Glynn CoCo

PS - I think we should keep everyone updated on our oh so exciting summer activities!

Burnt Out.

So. It's been awhile since we've last blogged. It's probably because we're so burnt out. I'm ready for summer. I don't think I've ever been so excited to go home. Luckily, this finals week has been a lot less stressful than last semester. We got most of our big projects out of the way in the middle of the semester. Not going to lie, I almost prefer that. I like not being stressed at the end of the year. Is this what it's like to almost have a normal major? Just wondering...

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year...NOT

Folks, I feel it coming. With less than 3 weeks until classes are finished for the semester I can see finals creeping up behind me. All the signs are there, staying up all night studying/working just to sleep for a few hours and get up early to study some more. Copious amounts of anything containing caffeine is being consumed (preferably cherry coke at any hour of the day). Late night runs to the C-Store to purchase snacks to munch on just to keep ourselves awake during those late hours. Ohhhh how I've missed it but you know what all this sleep deprivation means? Lots of late night giggle fits in Norton producing the oh so amusing blog posts we seem to manifest. So while you guys get psyched up for that I'm going to go back to studying for my two tests today.

Peace out blogging world,

Libby Langdon!

I had to blog about this the second I got back just because I am so EXCITED! We had the privilege of having Libby Langdon who you may know from HGTV's Small Space, Big Style, and The Rachel Ray Show come speak at our university through WithIt. Let me tell you, this woman is AMAZING. Her energy is contagious and she constantly has a huge smile plastered on her face. Listening to her speak and hearing her passion for this field come through just reminded me how much I absolutely love interior design. It is not always sunshine and butterflies but the feeling I get from completing a project and seeing a vision come to life was just brought to the front of my mind. In about a year I will be out in the real world getting my butt kicked all over the place by what I thought I knew about interior design but in exchange I will be getting to interact with real people and see genuine reactions to what I create for people. Libby, hopefully you will read this since I gave you our blog website and was shameless like you suggested, but I can not thank you enough for coming and speaking, it was wonderful and inspiring. Now back to getting some homework done because we have a long weekend coming up :)

Our Lives Suck...

Is it bad we're having second thoughts about this major in our spring semester of our junior year? All of us are so burnt out we've lost all motivation possible.

My perfect life would consist of napping and eating. As an interior design student, I barely have time for either. But, if I were a dog everything would be perfect. So, yup, right now I wish I was a dog.

Bianca was just on the phone. At first, talking normally to her mother about the usual - quitting school. Then, all of the sudden I hear these odd animal noises. Apparently she wants to be a cat? Oh. No. Just kidding. She's having an actual conversation with her cat over the phone. Pretty sure that's not normal. Especially combined with my desire to live the life of a dog.

Well that's all the thinking we can manage for one night.
-CiCi (with the presence of Bianca and Snooki)

Food for thought - it's kind ironic that Bianca and Snooki were just doing backward somersaults, because that's how I feel like our life is going right now.

Have you missed us?!

Its a been a while since we've blogged world. Primarily because we haven't had any huge crazy projects the past week or so and we've been catching up on sleep and all those other normal thing, can't say I'm complaining too much about that. This past weekend though we took our Interiors and Home Furnishings club trip to Charleston, SC and we had a blast. We saw Boone Hall (which was Ally's summer house in The Notebook), took a walking tour around the city, and saw the Nathaniel Russell and Aiken Rhett Houses. It was an absolutely gorgeous weekend and a much needed escape from our crazy lives at High Point. While we were there we celebrated Bianca's 21st birthday too (home girl happy birrrr!). Someone thought it was her bachelorette party though (not like she was wearing a crown that said 21 on it or anything) she the bachelorette kept getting a shout out. It just made for a more entertaining evening. We ended our weekend with a carriage tour around part of the city and got to see all the amazing architecture Charleston has to offer. Its safe to say we're less than thrilled to be back in High Point after our awesome weekend. We'll just have to take a trip back sometime soon!

Reunited.

I'll give you one guess where the wolf pack spent their first night back after spring break.
Yup. Norton. Not going to lie, a week was far too long for us to be apart. But, we certainly made up for it doing what else? An all nighter together.
We had a project due this morning (Monday, March 15).
Can't really say that I rested over break. I mean, I slept a lot. But I was still very dillusional when I got back. Another week off would have been preferred. Maybe on and a cruise or someplace sunny where I can actually get a tan. Norton just doesn't have the sunshine I need.
Anyway, back to the all nighter. It was "git" an all nighter. I was doing work until the very last minute possible. 8:15am. Took me 15 minutes to clean up all my mess in the room and got ready in the Norton bathroom with who else but Pilot! That was definitely a new low for us. Whoever decided not to put showers into this building was mad. I desperately needed one. A hot tub would be nice too...

The only thing getting me through this week is CHARLESTON! I cannot wait to spend a WHOLE weekend with everyone. It will definitely make up for lost time this past week. Not to mention it's going to be Bianca's 21st birthday on Friday! Soo excited!

That's all for now. I'm going to sleep for as long as I can, or at least until the next project comes around.

Encounter with a Psychic?

First of all...in response to Snookie...We did it guys!!!! I am so proud of us :)

Second...the strangest thing happened to me on Hollywood Blvd. I was walking down the street and passed a beggar man on the side of the road and he looked at me and said, "Come on Bianca." What the crap!!! I did a double take and he called me Bianca AGAIN!! I had to ask my cousin and aunt to verify but what the heck!!!!!???? Either it was a lucky guess or he is psychic and knows my alter ego Bianca. Guys... this is just proof that we are awesome. Maybe he was seeing into the future and our inevitable road to fame. I'm just sayin'...

Anyways, I can't wait to get back and swap stories with everyone!!...and of course Charleston is calling our name (sooooo excited!!!) I love you all & miss you so much!!!!! <3

GET READY FOR OUR REUNION!!!

We're all so excited and grateful for this opportunity and hope you guys take a second to check it out. See, we told you we were going to be famous!

BIANCA! it's cici! I miss you so SO much!
And the rest of the wolf pack as well :)

Break has been rather uneventful. I've been sleeping a great deal. But, that's probably not a surprise to anyone. I've been rendering my project for residential at a slow pace - which is working for me :) I have a to-do list and I'm trying to stick to it!

I can't wait until I can see you all again!

Ironic Ctd.

In continuence of Snooks post in the wee hours of this morning, our psycology professor is curently lecturing on sleep deprevation. She is discussing how the lack of sleep is dirrectly associated with the immune system, weight loss, mental stability, and memory loss. Memory loss?!?!?! No wonder a late night in Norton can become a bit hazy like a night at the bar. In the words of Snooks "The universe is torturing us!!!" While we yawn and snooks sips on her coffee we are all sitting here with faces that closely resemble a mug shot; mouth hanging open, eyes half closed, etc. Spring break is less than 24 hours away. I'm sure there will be many more eventful and unstable moments in the day to come so keep reading!!!

-Pilot

Torture.

The topic being discussed in Psychology today is sleep. Torturous to me. That's practically like dangling bacon in front of a dog.
-CiCi

How Ironic...

After being in Norton from 9 am - 4 am (thats 19 hours people) I've finally returned to my room. While flipping through the TV channels to see what is on at 4 am (I like to fall asleep with the TV on) I've stumbled upon The Dr.Oz Show. This particular episode was on the dangers of not getting enough sleep (that would be the ironic part since its on at 4 am and I have not gotten a good nights sleep lately). Of course being sleep deprived I was intrigued at what could happen to you. I learned that women have a 45% higher chance of heart problems, you tend to look and feel older, if you get less than 6 hours of sleep a night you have a 50% higher chance of viral disease, heart attack, and stroke. "Lack of sleep is associated with mental decline and overeating (which leads to major aging conditions)." STRAIGHT FROM DR. OZ PEOPLE, WE'RE LOSING OUR MINDS BECAUSE WE DON'T SLEEP!!! Ok, maybe not quite to that extent yet but all these all nighters are certainty not healthy. OK, I'm going to stop my ranting now and actually get some sleep since I have an interview at 9:30 and a midterm tomorrow. Wish me luck!
-Snooks

< 3

So it's creeping upon 4:30am and I'm slowly drifting. I've currently been tracing my perspectives for this project for almost the past hour. But, that's not why I'm here.

I've been so indecisive about this major. It obviously has its ups and downs, as you can see how our emotions can change at the drop of a hat. I often ask myself, "what on earth am I doing in design school?" The endless projects? The sleepless nights? I never imagined it being like this. I don't think anybody does. But, to be perfectly honest, I'm having the time of my life. Most college students live to go out and have a good time and have those "crazy nights" as their memories. This is different. I know that I'm always going to remember the nights that I spend with all of the Wolf Pack members and all the other girls in the major. Yeah, there are serious times when we need quite, need to be alone, or have a break down (which happens quite often). But there are also time when we laugh until we're on the floor. These are the nights I'm going to remember. I wouldn't have made it this far with out these girls. They're the ones that keep me going, and keep me motivated, and I feel like that's the most important thing.

I love you all!

xoxo
-CiCi

Dear Social Life, are you there? It's us, the Wolf Pack!

Another night in the CAD lab . . . I can't think. My brain is dead. I want to sleep. This blows. fsdjklafjasdklfj

CiCi: There's one thing that kills me about staying up all night. The bags under my eyes. I found out today that it takes me approximately 3 layers of concealer to look half-way decent.

Snooki: And eyeliner, eyeliner is key if you don't want to look half dead after staying up for over 24 hours

CiCi: Duh.

Snooki: I'm going to go rock back and forth in the corner, my mind left me a long long time ago. . . this makes no sense. my brain doesn't work, hi.

CiCi: oh. hey..

So we've got this new lingo going on that's really working for us. It has to do with abbreviations but will have a ligit entry about this later. So, Get excited.

Snooks is currently under the CAD desk. I thought she was going to nap. But surprisingly she keeps trying to tickle my feet. She's gone into the "slap happy" stage where you laugh at everything humanly possible. Bianc and I aren't quite there yet...but Snooks is definetely rubbing off on me.

It's going to be a long night, and I'm pretty sure I won't be sleeping at all. Total bummer, especially since sleeping is my favorite past time.

Sorry this entry is so choppy. You're going to have to excuse our current mental state.

Oh the mistakes we make...

Everyone makes mistakes right? It's typical as humans. Clearly. But, here in Norton...the mistakes we make just keep getting more and more ridiculous, especially after sleepless night after sleepless night. The only thing we can do at this point is laugh.

As very loving friends, we like to lend a helping hand and send a CAD block here and there. Bianca was so kind as to send me her floor plan so I could snag her ceiling fan. I was doing some creeping on the rest of her plan after I had copied the block of the fan into my CAD file. Noticed she had a very nice set-up for her living room (good job Bianc!) and moved on to her kitchen...and then the problem presented itself. I sit there. Puzzled. Confused. Boggled. You want to know why? She had all of her light switches IN her oven. So I paused. Maybe she moved her oven to a different place and forgot to move the text box? Yeah, that's definately it. I go to see her kitchen elevations to see if that was the solution to the problem. Nope. Oven was where it was supposed to be. It was at this point where I had to ask. I don't think it's a good idea to put switches in an oven, but maybe, just maybe she had a method to her maddness. Her response? Nothing but laughter and "What was I thinking?!"

All in all, we don't only learn from our mistakes, but we find them hysterical.

With love,
-CiCi (Glynn CoCo)

Vent Time

Today has definitely been filled with mixed emotions. After hours and hours of looking for all our materials (hours of which we could have been working on our project), we found them in a trashcan. It sickens me how disrespectful people can be. I have no idea who it was, and I'm thankful that we got all our things back for our project, but seriously?
Hopefully we'll be laughing about this tomorrow, but definitely not today. All the possibilities of people it could be:
- a drunk student who thought it was funny
- an interior design major who has a grudge against the junior class (but who would hate us...seriously?...maybe they are just jeal- short for jealous, explanation will come at a later post.)
- the maintenance staff... but they don't come in on sundays and it was stolen between 2am and mid afternoon
...any other suggestions??

we'll find the culprit, don't worry, 'cause we'll be "solving crime 'till [morning] time"

Sincerely CiCi/Glynn CoCo and Bianca

How to be sick in 2 hours or less

Step 1: Meet up with friends for lunch, feel fine, excited even. This is the first real meal you've eaten all day since cheetos and a bottle of water at 9 am are not exactly substantial for any meal let alone breakfast

Step 2: Start eating. You're eating REAL FOOD! This is amazing! It's not from a vending machine or a convenience store, omg we're in heaven.

Step 3: After about 5 bites start feeling sick, oh no I might vom (short for vomit, explanation to come in a new post shortly) all over the place, in the caf, I don't want to be the kid who throws up in the caf.

Step 4: Run to the bathroom, make sure you don't actually vom, recollect yourself long enough to go back to the table and collect your things

Step 5: Collect your things, go back to Norton ( you read that correctly, Norton not your room) because your entire life is in there basically and you have to e-mail your english paper thats due in 2 hours to your professor

Step 6: NOW you may go to your room, take a tums, lay in bed with your lap top and do more homework (there's no downtime here even when you're sick, productivity is key)

Step 7: You feel better now that the tums has kicked in, are grateful for a short second that you can head back over to Norton to do work, think for another second about how awesome it would've been to actually have a stomach virus or something so you could really lay in bed all week, start twitching at the thought of all the work you could be doing while you're hypothetically sick, snap out of that day dream and head back to do some work

-Snooks

I need a NAP.

Why do pre-schoolers get nap time? I need it more than they do.
-CiCi

I AGREE! Obama, if you ever read this, please make it a law that all interior design students are required to take at least a 1 hour nap every day. K thank. -Snooks

STRESS

How, at the age of 21, am I so stressed out and consumed with work that I have to schedule in showers to my day and hate doing so because I know its taking away from either more work or the few precious hours of sleep I get? After being in Norton all weekend for a minimum typically of 12 hours a day I wonder if I was dropped on my head as a child that I became crazy enough to go through with this major, and what it would be like to have a normal major, a social life, time to sleep, eat, and maybe have some free time to myself. I pretty have to schedule in a break down every day so I can give myself 2 minutes to go cry in the corner, have a minor freak out, yell at myself to get over it, the go back to work. From here on out I think stress should be ILLEGAL, or I should at least have enough time in my day to clean my room, do some laundry, and maybe watch an hour of TV (is that so much to ask?). I know since its nearly 2 am and I've been working all day this seems a little more dramatic than it will in the morning but sometimes I really wonder if we're all crazy for working our butts off like this. I have friends that tell me I'm so lucky to know what I want to do with my life but at what price? This blog has become somewhat of a god send, we all have turned it into our own outlet to vent, scream, share our laughs, joys, triumphs, and everything else in between. Its somewhat comforting to know that all the things that have been said, screamed, or cried out of stress in Norton will make its way somewhere outside of those walls into the real world we rarely venture in to. Right now though, a few hours sleep before class in the morning is what I need to clear my head. Thanks for listening to the freak out world. Maybe my heart rate will drop just slightly now.

FA-REAKING OUT...!

We've got a situation on our hands. And no, we're not talking about Mike from "Jersey Shore."
A BIG one.
Huge project. Less than a week to complete. Missing materials. Pretty sure fabrics don't just walk away.
Pilot and I (Ci-Ci/Glynn CoCo)are legit FA-REAKING out. Tears have been shed. Angry words have been thrown around. Needless to say, we aren't in the best of moods right now.
-CiCi

Hey all,
Pilot here. I am Fa-reaking out. What to do, what to do? We have been told to contact our school investigator....???? What the heck is his job description.... Investigate the food fight in the cafe?? This is all kinds of ridiculous. The officer would like to know what the value of our fabric samples and drawings are.... 100 hours!!! Anger is the new mood in this prison of ours. What do we do next??

Pilot:-/

I'm not about to spend 2 more days of my time looking for new fabrics and finishes. It took way too long and I have way too much other stuff to do.

Booooo.

7 is the Magic Number...

Story of our lives... EVERYTHING in life takes 7 times longer then we expect it to. Conclusion... there is no way to do everything that needs to be done and expect it to be good. This is a bit of life knowledge we wanted to pass on from Ms. Sisk. I, Bianca, learned it the hard hard way...as did most of us. I think for me its closer to 20 times, but the wolfpack is training me in cutting corners. It's not cheating...just being more efficient. Anyways, though we rarely see the outside world, we learned that this can be applied to real life situations, not just design school. Our travels to Dunkin' Donuts proved that theory. Five of us ordered donuts and some variation of coffee... 30 minutes later (what was she doing...picking and crushing the coffee beans herself?)... we walked out half-satisfied. 30 minutes for take-out!!! Definately an instance where it took 7 times longer than expected. Who could have guessed? At least Pilot was in her happy place staring and longing for the cakes (see picture); some sort of serene calm came over her while the rest of us got irritable and antsy to return to our jail cell called norton (especially me...since once again it was my fault for taking so long- she made my drink wrong). Which brings me to my next point... the diet of an Interior Design major is not a healthy one.
Some Examples:
- Hot pockets at 1:30 am
- Hot Tamales (Pilot's personal fave)
- Goldfish
- Coffee
- Cherry Coke
- Vending machine snacks (sometimes we get free ones from shaking the machine)
The common denominator: anything with caffeine or sugar.

I think we've left you with enough to ponder for one post. Apply the magic number 7 to your lives...its freaky how accurate it is.

For now... Peace and Blessings

- Bianca

Afternoon Delight

Another beautiful Sunday afternoon in Norton, but we're taking a field trip at 2:17 (yes we have issues deciding on times and basically everything else in life) to DUNKIN' DONUTSSSS. Iced coffee and donuts are our salvation at the moment. Until then we're entertaining ourselves by making weird noises. We all have our own noises that we make that mean different things. Its like our own language. CiCi makes this noise when she can't make a decision it kinda goes ooooOooOOooOoOo what do I doooooo (there is a video if I can figure out how to post it, go figure I can draw floor plans, elevations etc on CAD but can't figure out how to upload a video). That's all for now, we'll report back later with more shenanigans.

A Little off Track

Here's how my day was supposed to go...
Wake up at 8:30. Shower. Get breakfast at 9:30. Go to Norton and do work until 4.

Here's how my day is going...
Woke up at 11:30
Got into Norton by 12.
Been trying to work on my kitchen elevations but have been distracted by Snooks.

I like to say I have the attention span of a goldfish, especially when it's beautiful outside and I'm stuck in the good old interior design building.
Snooks just tattooed "WOLF PACK" on my knuckles with puffy paint. You can say I'm pretty hardcore now.
Now she's reading texts from last night and distracting me even more. Awesome.
I'm starved annnd have already drifted away from my "to-do" list for the day. Story of my life. Well, our lives.
-CiCi

Here's my new tatoo! I think Snooks has a new calling...

Hopefully we'll be able to concentrate a little better later tonight!

It's a beautiful day, naturally lets enjoy it in the CAD lab

It's a gorgeous Saturday afternoon and where do we seem to find ourselves? If you guessed outside enjoying the wonderful weather, you couldn't be further from the truth. It's crunch time which means every waking moment will be spent in Norton Hall trying to finish our projects just to realize we have other classes outside of design that we maybeeee should do some work for also. The only thing standing between us and spring break is about 6 sleepless days and nights. I know I'm looking forward to being able to go home and relax, but I'm not sure how much relaxing will be going on. The weekend we return back to school the Interiors and Home Furnishings Club (or IHFC for short) is taking a trip to Charleston, SC. Since the majority of us are on the Executive Council (myself being the president, pilot our VP of events, and smalls an SGA rep) we are the ones in charge of making sure this trip goes off without a hitch. So as much as we would like to run away from the world of design for a week, we're bringing it home with us to do some last mintue planning. I know I'm very excited for this trip though and it will be rewarding to see all our hard work has payed off. Thats part of being in this major that makes it bearable. We drive ourselves so crazy that we're all convinced we're mentally insane, but then we look at the finished product, and the late nights and sleep deprived days are worth it. We'll report back later since its pretty calm in the CAD lab right now, but it's just the calm before the storm of crazy begins tonight :) who knows, maybe there will be some late night tag, or pushing each other across the room in rolly chairs later...keep reading!

-Snooks (with CiCi and Smalls)

P.S. We have our first two followers! My mom and Bianca's mom! Yayyyy for moms!

P.P.S. Norton After Hours started approximately 5 minutes after this post, let the craziness begin

Cheers!

Today was an interesting day. It brought many triuphs along with some disapointments. A long night in Norton Hall with snacks, movies, and good friends is the only remedy for our sour thoughts of today. This remedy is the very basis of our procrastination habits. However, We are very happy that Glynn Coco rejoined our community for however short a time it was. Most of our wolf pack is elsewhere tonight but snooks and myself(pilot) are safe and sound in norton hall. We will miss each other exponentially tonight but we will surely reunite in Norton Hall again tomorrow.

Here's to a GREAT end to a soso day in Norton Hall!!!

Cheers!

Pilot:)

Back in action...

After being sick, CiCi is back in action! I'm slowly catching up with the other girls for our Residential project. Have set goals for the weekend and hope to goodness I can keep up with them! Here's my to do list (more for myself than anything else).
-Finish Furnished Plan (Today)
-Kitchen Elevations
-Switching & Lighting Plan
And start my perspectives by Sunday!...Or maybe before. But with my procrastination skills, I just don't see that happening.

Smalls is in here with me while all the other wolf pack members are field tripping it up. Needless to say, I'm super jealous. (Hope you ladies aren't having too much fun without me).

We've got a week to go. Stress here we come!
With love,
CiCi

P.S. We'll fill you in about the VERY exciting news soon soon soon!

Divas fo' sho'

So we are going to be famous, no big deal!...I always knew the wolfpack was meant to do bigger things. I mean our alter egos just scream STARS! We will fill you in later...way too excited to even think right now (all of us are shaking and unable to sleep)!! Keep checking in for updates. (or watch for our appearance on HGTV...that might be next.) We can dream right?

For now everyone...
Peace & Blessings

Sick Day :(

I never thought I'd say this, but I really wish I could've gone to class today. I hate being sick. I've been bored to tears all day and have barely had human contact let alone contact with my interior design girls besides texting. This is tragic.

Never thought I'd say this either, but I really hope I feel better by tomorrow morning so I CAN go to class just because I miss them so much.

Snooks, Bianca, Pilot and Smalls. I can't believe I went a whole day without seeing you! The fact that we will spend our time together NOT sleeping for the next week kiind of excites me. I can't wait! Love you girls so so so much!
-CiCi

P.S. Snooks - your post kind of made me tear up a little bit.

Interior Design Love

We missed cici in class today she was sick :( All of us tend to get anxious when we spend more than 3 hours apart, we'll text each other things like "what are you doing, I miss you!" even if we were in class alllll day together, ate every meal together, and only live across campus from each other. As much as we complain about the amount of time we spend on projects, its also the time we spend bonding with each other. We've created our own little family here. There's plenty of drama and we get on each others nerves but when it comes down to it we all love each other and will be there for one another no matter what. I don't want to be all sappy but I love each and every one of these girls and the little things they do keep me going throughout my day. For example I just found a little note from slopes on my computer that just made me grin. I'm so lucky to have such great friends :) I hope everyone had a great day and I can't wait to see all my interior design girls in the morning because its been too many hours apart already!

Smalls is coming out

Hellllloooo everyboddy! I am sitting here in yet another interior design class we have lost a fellow wolfpack member. That thing called sleep has taken advantage of a fellow member. May she sleep in peace.
I have occurred a battle wound from this project. To everyone out there I would like to make u aware that hot glue guns are dangerous. BE CAREFUL! They may cause harm to ur health.

Wolfpack member: smalls :)

This post has been transported here by Snooks since smalls created a separate blog instead of just adding to the current one, so silly :)

...

Our professor Ms. Sisk always says a project always takes seven times longer than you think it should.

Couldn't be more true.

Now I'm going to double that and sleep 14 times longer than I normally do. After class of course.
-CiCi

Free Pancakes!!!

The morning after a very late night. Caffeine is a necessity.I woke up this morning with a drawing of a goldfish cracker transfered from my arm to my....foot?!?! General education classes are creating a bitter mood in most of us. Psycology is the least of our worries in all that we do. Not to mension people will not stop telling irrelevent stories about people no one knows. People are boring to death. Staying awake has become a competition between Cici, Smalls, Snooks, and myself(Pilot). Facebook and Silly online games are the name of the game. Snooks Phone just went off for free pancakes at IHOP tonight. Free food....I think yes. The anticipation of warm fluffy goodness is the only remedy to our lack of energy. Let's see what else today brings.

-Pilot:)

Delusion Hits.

Update:
Tonight I dared Snooks, Pilot and Bianca to drive around the Norton water fountain circle to see how many rounds it would take for me to go get the stuff I needed out of my locker and back. They agreed. Total was eight.
Seeing them laughing to tears when I got back was worth the trip.

-CiCi (aka Glynn Co Co)

While taking a short trip to the other drafting room, slopes (our ginger, asian friend), dr.krunklehorn, and the only one without an alter ego, had started dancing from delirium. Slopes was kind enough to demonstrate her dancing which is reminiscent of a 70 year old woman combined with the Elaine dance. Cracking up from watching this I decided to do the Elaine dance myself which was so spectacular it cause the only one without an alter ego to fall to the ground and pee her pants. She then tried the Elaine dance herself, pulled a muscle and almost peed her pants again. Don't say no one ever told you how dangerous interior design could be. Late night project injuries are common, although not always quite as entertaining as pulling a muscle while doing the Elaine dance. That's all for now, back to work!-Snooks

Staying up until 7 to finish projects then get free pancakes may or may not be a possibility....

5 A.M. and CiCi is left alone in Norton. :( Boards all done and ready go for lighting! Now on to studying for my Sociology Exam at 9:30. Hope I can make it.

On the Verge of a Break- Down...

So this is abnormal...we don't normally ALL break down at the same time. We don't quite know how to handle this situation. Ingrid turned off her phone. Pilot is twitching. We made an executive decision to forgo one of our pointless assignments in order to complete our project. By the way everybody...Ingrid is making her first guest appearance and what an entrance she made. If you are sensing our bi-polar tendencies...you are right on! This blog is turning into a therapeutic outlet to our unstable state-of being. Glynn Co-Co hurry up with that Mental Hospital...it might be soon that we all end up there.

- Bianca

The Morning After...MESS

Ughhhhh...the end
-snooks

My alarm didnt go off this morning...it was one of those mornings. Whyyyy do I think it's a good idea to stay up until 5:30 am?? Oh wait...I have no choice!! Such is the life of Bianca and the rest of the wolf pack. Mess.

My life just became mess x 10 in the last 10 minutes after this discussion. Does anyone know a good psychiatrist that can give us a group rate? Pretty sure we're all insane for choosing this major...yup. PS, chips and cherry coke, breakfast of champions.
Snooks just offered me Sour Cream and Onion Chips for breakfast. Nooo thank you! it's too early for that!

I feel like death. I needed an incentive to stay up and do work, so i did my laundry and 3am. Bad idea. I thought I felt pretty good when I woke up at 7:45. Snooze for 15 minutes and magically couldn't get my exhausted body out of my bed. I put too much volumizing moose in my hair. Needless to say, it's a not so good hair day. Annnd...It's raining. Bianca summed it up pretty well with "mess."
And about that psychiatrist. No need. I've got the mental hospital color scheme under wraps. It'll be ready for us soon. -CiCi

Our First Post Beyotches!

Hi. We're procrastinating. We're interior design majors but we're also pretty pro in the procrastination department (hence the starting of this blog). Pretty sure this blog is going to make us famous. Maybe HGTV will notice us someday (Hey Candice Olsen!). We're design students by day, but have alter egos by night. Pilot, Bianca, and Smalls, age 20. CiCi and Snooks, age 21. Some people think we put our projects off to the last minute But, nope. The projects take days, weeks almost. But, it's the night before it's due that we truly crack down. We refer to this as "crunch time." We've been here almost 12 hours, at 1:30 am, the night is young in Norton Hall and when it truly becomes Norton After Hours.

We're highly amused by the antics that ensue instead of the work we're doing, so you should be too. (Don't let the tabs fool you into thinking we're educated). "Guys, this is so funny!" -CiCi. See we think we're funny. Hilarious actually. HIGHLARIOUS. hahahahahahaha

The sounds of Norton Hall consist of constant laughter, random humming and non-stop references from "The Hangover."

Pilot and Bianca are working diligently in the drafting room on their boards that are due on Tuesday. Smalls is sleeping in her nice cozy bed (beyotch). "I forgot what mine looks like"-CiCi "Me too"-Snooks. And, CiCi and Snooks are doing what they do best, procrastinating in the CAD lab.

Here's a little present of what to expect to come. (Notice the "Greek Design & Decoration" book in her lap...it never stops)
